bio: Florence Gallagher’s whole life was just normal, and growing up she always wanted more. Things aren’t always what they seem, though. Everything changed the day Ren found out that her father wasn’t really her father. Her mom explained things as best as she could, and Ren tried to move on. She went off to university, focused on getting her degree in public relations, and went on living her life; but finding her father was always in the back of her mind. After graduating from uni, she decided that she couldn’t put it off any longer. Her search for her father took her to Edinburgh, Scotland. What she found there was disappointing, to say the least. Looking back on things now, she would trade anything for that normal life back. Her experience wasn’t completely negative, though. While searching for her father, Ren fell in love with the UK. She got a job with a great PR firm, and moved there. Eventually she opened up her own firm, and now she’s just hoping to get that normal lifestyle back with her own family.

☆ Saturday: The VSFS is less than a week away, so all of the girls are heading down to the VS studio to try some test outfits on for the show! We're also getting interviewed by some press while we're there, so expect cameras!
[If anyone ever wants to collab, pm me! :)]
 
+ Caroline loves the fittings because it’s the big reveal of what she’ll be wearing on the day of the show. It’s very exciting, coming out from behind the curtain to reveal what all of the designers have been working so hard on.
 
+ The fittings are extremely important because you get an idea of what works on the model. Certain colors might look better with another girls skin tone, and if there’s a problem with something, you need to know in advance before you step out on the runway and your bra strap pops off, or you fall over because the wings are too heavy. It’s also an opportunity for the model to see exactly how much skin she will be showing, and what areas she might want to work out a little more.
 
+ It’s hard to pick a favorite because each outfit is designed with such detail, and they’re all for entirely new themes. But her favorite was the one with the headpiece. It does exactly what a VSFS outfit should. It shows off the gorgeous lingerie and model, and it makes the girl feel glamorous, confident, and beautiful. It’s an absolute showstopper.

I walked through the doors of the VS headquarters, anxious to see what outfits were awaiting me. I stepped into the elevator, and pushed the button. As the doors slid shut someone screamed out “Hold the door, please!”
 
I stopped the doors, and Maury stepped in. “Here for fittings?” I asked.
 
“Yes! You too?”
 
“Yeah. I’m excited to see what they’ve come up with this year.”
 
“Me too. I hope they give me something that’s super sexy.” She smirked. But something tells me that they could put her in a trash bag, and she’d make it sexy.
 
“I’m more of a glamour girl.” I smiled.
 
The elevator stopped, and we walked into the room together.
 
“Caroline, Maury!” Monica exclaimed. “Right on time. Maury, you’re going over with Dominic, and Caroline you go over to Alicia.”
 
We split up, and I headed over to Alicia.
 
“Hello.” I smiled. “I’m Caroline.”
 
“Lovely to meet you. So we’ve been looking through the outfits and think that we have found the perfect fit for you. Let’s go ahead and try this one on first.” She said, handing me a green outfit.
 
I headed back into the dressing area and tried it on.

“Ok, we just have one last look for you.” Alicia said as they snapped a picture for the board. “Wait here while I go get it, I think it will be perfect for you.”
 
I stepped over to the board where they were pinning up the picture of my second outfit in the right section. I scanned the board, checking out what some of the other girls would be wearing. Not everyone was up yet, though. I heard a bit of commotion and turned around to see Natasia coming out of the dressing area. She was wearing an outfit for the pink section and looked amazing. They took her picture and she came over to the board and watched them pin it up.
 
“This is so exciting!” She grinned.
 
“I know! You look great, by the way.”
 
“Thanks, that outfit is perfect for you.”
 
“I love it.” I smiled, looking checking it out in the mirror again.
 
Alicia came back with a nude outfit that had a jeweled body piece. “Here, try this on.”
 
I went back behind the curtains and started pulling off the black gloves from my second outfit. When I had the new outfit on, I couldn’t wait to get out there. It was exactly what I wanted. I walked back out to the room where everyone was waiting.
 
“That is fabulous.” Monica gasped.
 
“Wait, it’s not done yet!” Alicia yelled, rushing over with a showgirl headdress. She put it on, and I started walking to make sure the shoes fit right. It was flawless.
 
“Wow.” Ayla said, she had just finished her fitting.
 
“I know, it is exactly what I dreamed it would be.”
 
“I’ll trade you this for my super unique silver outfit.” She winked.
 
“I think I’ll pass.”
 
“Oh well, your loss.” She laughed.
 
“Ok, well you’re all finished.” Monica said. “Now just change back and head over next door to talk to the press.

I was back in my normal clothes and Monica took me to the room next door.
 
“Alright Caroline, this is Isabel. I just need you two to talk about the fittings and how excited you are for the show. You know, behind the scenes stuff for promos. The crew will be in here as soon as they finish up with a couple of the other girls.”
 
“So how’d your fitting go?” I asked Isabel.
 
“Amazing!” She beamed. “I’ve never been so excited for a show in my life.”
 
“I know how you feel. My outfits are better than I could have ever imagined.”
 
“They definitely know how to transform a simple bra and some panties. I wish I was even half that creative.”
 
“Yeah, but I guess we’ll just have to settle on being the pretty girls that walk it down the runway.” I said. We started laughing, and the people from CBS came in.
 
“Well, this is going to be easy?” One of them said, and we both shot him a confused look. “This is exactly what we need, a couple of the models talking and laughing. The last group were… Well let’s just say, not as friendly.”
 
“Oh, gotcha.” I said.
 
“Alright, let’s get them miked and then start shooting.”

♫ What Makes You Beautiful | One Direction

☆ Sunday: We all know we love to lip-sync, and since the big VSFS is coming up in a couple weeks, which song would you like all of the girls to lip-sync to for their annual lip-dub video?
 
+ The outfit is just the basic Victoria's Secret Fashion Show t-shirt and jacket. Then I decided to go with pink jeans to add some color to the outfit.
 
+ I think What Makes You Beautiful would be a good choice for various reasons. First, it’s a popular song that’s easy to sing along to. With last years song, it was kind of fast, so not all the girls could keep up with it very well. Second, the message is perfect for Victoria’s Secret. VS is all about making women feel confident and beautiful no matter what age, race, or size. This song goes right along with that message and represents the brand well.
 
+ The video would just be something simple like 2010 because I feel like when they try to make things too complex it just looks very amateur. So, it would just consist of the girls split into groups of only two or three, and they would wear either their VSFS t-shirts/tank tops and jackets, or just their VSFS robe. One group would be playing around backstage doing each other’s make up, then two more girls could be doing each other’s hair and singing into hair brushes, another group would have cameras and could just take some pictures of each other in fun poses, one group could be singing and dancing in front of the mirror that is set up before you walk out onto the catwalk, and another would just be playfully practicing walking up and down the runway. Then by the end chorus all of the girls would be on the runway wearing their VSFS shirts, jeans, and jackets, high energy, and just singing along and dancing. It’s a simple, but fun video that also shows a lot of the behind the scenes aspects of the show like the hair, make up, and rehearsals.

I slid on my leather Victoria’s secret jacket and fixed my hair. I was starting to get anxious, waiting to start the video shoot. I was standing on stage with Naomi and Yasmine, glad that I got put into a group with them. I had met them both in Hawaii at the swim shoot, and they seemed nice from what I saw. Plus, based on the way some of the other girls were looking at their partners, I got off easy.
 
“I just want to start this already.” I said.
 
“I know what you mean.” Yasmine sighed.
 
“Seriously, it’s like we’ve been standing around for hours.” Naomi said.
 
I was about to reply, but I saw director walking towards us.
 
“Hello girls, you all look great. So basically what you three will be doing is a sort of mock rehearsal. We’re going to start out with you guys lined up by the entrance of the catwalk, and we’ll have you play around a bit there. Then you’ll walk out together. However, we don’t want this to be your fiercest runway walks. On the other hand, don’t start skipping down hand in hand. We want it to be fun, not corny. Got it?” He explained.
 
“Sure.” We all said, hoping we could get this right.
 
We walked back behind the curtain and lined up. The played the song and we just jumped right in. It felt super awkward at first, but eventually as we loosened up and started to have fun. I twirled Yasmine around, and then once it got to the chorus we headed out to the catwalk and did our thing out there.
 
After we went through the song a few times, we watched the footage. Things looked great, but we went through once more just to make sure everything was perfect. Then we got to take a break while the crew moved on to the other groups. Yasmine went off to call her boyfriend, and I headed towards the food table where Ayla and Alaska were hanging out.
 
“Hello ladies.” I smiled, slipping off my jacket.
 
“Hey. You looked really good out there.” Ayla said.
 
“Thanks, what did they have you doing?”
 
“We were backstage in our robes pretending to do each other’s hair and stuff like that.” Alaska told me.
 
“How was that?”
 
“Pretty fun. You know I busted out the hairbrush microphone.” Alaska laughed.
 
“I probably would’ve done the same thing.” I grinned.
 
Before I knew it the director was gathering us all into a group.
 
“Alright girls, I know that it’s been a long day. We’re all tired and ready to finish this up. Let’s just get lined up on the catwalk, a lot of energy, and just have some fun!”
 
We all headed up to the catwalk, and they played the song once more. It was a lot more fun with all of the girls there this time. I guess everyone just wanted to be done because we finished after two takes.
 
I, personally, was glad to get out of there. I met up with Daniel for drinks.
 
“How’d the video go?” He asked.
 
“I think it went well.”
 
“Nothing like a bunch of girls in their 20s dancing around to One Direction.” He smirked.
 
“Oh, hush. You know we don’t pick the performers, but you know you love that song.” I stuck my tongue out at him.
 
“Maybe it is a little catchy. Did you make some new friends?” He changed the subject.
 
“Somewhat. I think I got lucky with the partnering.”
 
“Just wait, once you become an angel you’ll be spending a lot of time with these girls. You’ll be best friends in no time.”
 
“Oh God, like that would happen.”
 
“You don’t want to be friends with them?”
 
“Not that, the angel thing.”
 
“And why wouldn’t that happen?”
 
“You do realize I’ve only done like three things with them.”
 
“How do you think that they all started out? Trust me, I have a sort of sixth sense about these things.”
 
“Whatever you say.” I rolled my eyes.
